The car in question isn’t just any 2024 Audi S8 parked in the sun in your local Audi Dealership. It’s a beautiful Daytona Matte Grey exterior Audi S8—and it’s one of the last ones for a very simple reason. It’s from the D5.5 generation, meaning it’s the last of its kind manufactured with genuine materials. Under the hood, it packs a good old V8TT engine.
If there’s one thing we’ll remember, the 2024 Audi S8 for its mega power, iconic interior, and the fact that it eats up the road like a tiny car. For the lack of a better expression, it’s like a buffed-up gym rat with some wild reflexes.
While it looks like a regular A8, it’s a monster behind the wheel. And since it’s developed like an executive sedan, it’d probably attract the kind of person looking to enjoy it from the back seat, which makes no sense at all.
Under the hood, the 2024 Audi S8 packs a twin-turbo 4-liter V8 engine capable of 563 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. It’ll bolt from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.8 seconds. Auditography tests revealed it can do a much quicker 0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds.
It is standardly equipped with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission that distributes power to all four wheels.
