Just four years ago, her title would have subtly read as sister, wife, mother, and car lover – today, she is one of the top names in Kenyan and East African motorsports.
While Jeniffer Malik has been spotted behind a few race cars, she’s most popular for her white (with pink accents) Subaru Impreza STI N8 rally spec car, which is a fan favorite in many regional motorsports events.
Putting passion into practice
If you told Jennifer Malik half a decade ago that she would be one of the top names in African motorsports, she would have ignored it as wishful thinking. Today, she is one of the top names in Kenyan motorsports – including rally, drag races, go-karting, and even drift competitions.
Her motorsports career began with time trials and go-karts at the Whistling Moran Race Track. She slowly progressed into rallying before competitively getting into drag races and drifting. Her strategy is quite simple – compete and finish. She’s also an advocate who uses her presence to encourage more women into competitive motorsports.
While she’s pretty popular in the Kenyan motorsports scene, Jennifer Malik closely competes with her rally co-driver Margaret Mungai – together, they are billed as one of Kenya’s all-women crews.

Jennifer Malik drives a Subaru Impreza N10. The white and pink accent rally trim car is her signature vehicle, featured in several Kenyan and Tanzanian motorsport events, including the Masinga TT hosted by Club TT Motorsports and the Tanzanite TT.
While there’s very little information about the specifications of her Subaru Impreza N10, we know for a fact that it’s a rally trim variant with a turbocharged 2-liter engine, all-wheel drive, and built to handle the East African rugged terrain. She prepares and maintains her own car and tries to gain sponsorship backing, like most rally outfits do.
Jennifer Malik competes in Kenyan national rallies and WRC events, and uses her platform to lead by example as a woman in Motorsports. She’s won many accolades in her four years in the world of motorsports and continues to push the envelope for women drivers in the region and Africa as a whole.
