If you have a couple of stacks saved up and would like to invest in some auctioned items, then you need to pack your bags and head over to Eldoret. There will be a Moi University Mass Auction of vehicles and tractors. We stumbled on this information thanks to Patrick Mutuma of Pamurick Show – and the deadline is creeping in fast.
As you already know, Patrick Mutuma broke the internet when he started exposing auction gigs in Kenya. I’m choosing to use the word’ expose’ because cartels and gatekeepers hold down this line of ‘business. ‘ We’ve always known about auctions, but not too many people have been interested in participating because those involved have always liked to keep things hushed out, to the extent of scaring away potentially interested parties.
Don’t get me wrong. You won’t get scared away by violence but by mind games. Most of these creepy fellows will lie that government auctions are not fair, and you’ll lose your money to keep the attendance at the real auctions low. In the worst-case scenario, they’ll circumvent the system, giving them an upper hand during the bidding.
Patrick Mutuma showcased all these shenanigans and is currently considered a threat by some of these cartels and gatekeepers. We watched episodes where he was asked to stop recording and even intimidated during the auction process.
Fortunately, his exposes are cleaning the auction airwaves, and more and more Kenyans are beginning to participate in these activities. We are forever grateful for his efforts!
Back to Eldoret. Moi University just announced a mass auction for vehicles and tractors.
“The Vice-Chancellor has signed a document that they are auctioning a couple of vehicles. I can see some of these vehicles are the ones that you love, and I have said. Even if we have not been at Eldoret, then I am going to inform you about this information,” Pamurick said, revealing the information about the auction.
Well, Pamurick found it a bit weird that the auction was announced on the school’s notice board—which was quite odd. I also find it quite funny that the announcement was made on a student’s notice board—the best they could have done was share it online through social media.
But we are happy this news got to Pamurick – meaning the attendance on D-day will be overwhelming.
According to the information he received, there will be 16 cars on auction, including an Isuzu bus, Toyota Hilux Pickups, a Toyota Prado, Nissan Urvans, and a couple of tractors. The Pickups have a reserved price of KES 350,000, The Toyota Prado KES 1 Million, and the Nissan Urvans between KES 200,000 and KES 300,000. There’s also a Nissan X-Trail in good condition with a reserved price of KES 400,000.
