Last week, Ogi ni Ogi (Og_papa_jones on Instagram) did his flaming backfire magic on a teenager’s Mitsubishi Lancer CK2. And before you get all PC on us, we are talking about Kenya’s King of Pops and Bangs. Recently known as ‘Ochi ni Ochi,’ thanks to his extra swirly pronunciation – we forgive him for all that in return for all the action he’s been up to, widening the smiles of car enthusiasts who’d like a taste of an engine tune on a budget!
We strive to support all underdogs at Motindechu.com, and ‘Ochi ni Ochi’ has been a big hit in our editorial room. Last week, he did something that we felt needed the attention of our readers—he brought joy to an upcoming automotive enthusiast.
Every kid dreams of owning a race car. Well, this particular teenager owns an early 2000s red Mitsubishi Lancer CK2. And for his first tune, he got the ‘Og ni Og’ treatment with some of the most fierce pops and bangs we’ve seen on an NA (naturally aspirated engine).
He’s not legally allowed to drive, but we are certain the slight tune on his red lancer was in preparation for when he finally gets to 18. For now, he can only invite his buddies (for street cred), turn on the ignition, and press the gas pedal for some of that fiery ferocity – but, of course, under the supervision of an adult.
Earlier in the week, ‘Og ni Og’ had promised to visit Nairobi for a special client through his Instagram feeds. Most of his fans figured he would tune a popular performance Mercedes—but as it turned out, he was in the city to fulfill a teenager’s request.
According to the video on Og ni Og’s Instagram feed, the young performance enthusiast wanted pops, bangs, and flames. And from the post – Og more than delivered!
We’ll keep an eye on the young performance enthusiast. We’d love to see him become a big name in Africa’s motoring scene. We must also give him props for how clean the Mitsubishi Lancer CK2 looks!
Meanwhile, in the video below, you can enjoy that fire-packed action from the red Mitsubishi Lancer CK 2!
