The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) has announced that traffic will be disrupted along the Thika Superhighway from Wednesday, July 10th, 2020, to Monday, July 15th, 2024.

According to the government agency in charge of roads in Kenya, a section of the superhighway (A2) will temporarily be closed at Juja High Point, approximately 34 kilometers from Nairobi Central Business District.

According to KENHA, traffic will be disrupted on the specified section of the highway, specifically on the inner lanes. The agency says the five-day disruption will allow for the construction of the mid-span footbridge foundation.

According to the statement released on Tuesday, motorists using the route are advised to follow the proposed traffic management plan and comply with the traffic marshal and police stationed at the location.
